We bottled our 2006 Marie’s Block Syrah in December. Our winemaker, Russell Bevan, believes it is our best effort yet (actually he believes it is a lot better than that). It has been resting and is now ready for shipment. This is a powerful wine with great mouth feel, a long finish and lots of interesting character.
This wine was aged for 14 months in French oak and bottled unfiltered and unfined. If you plan on drinking this in the next 4 months, we recommend double decanting 24 hours in advance.

"Inky purple/black in color with an impressive array of aromas including blackberry pie, espresso, acacia flower, crushed pepper, bacon fat and cigar box. The lush palate of blueberry, black raspberry, licorice, earth, and toasty oak continue to the intense and complex finish. A beautiful marriage of intense, yet balanced fruit, and a striking multi-layered finish" |
